At Hertford Infant and Nursery School we value all of our children as individuals, and aim to develop their interests, strengths and skills to the very best of their ability. We know our children so well as we are a small school, and every child is very special to us. Many visitors to our school have been impressed by the calm and purposeful atmosphere and have likened Hertford to a village style school - surrounded by a number of magnificent trees. We develop the whole child - academic success is our priority but we see education as being far more than this, and place great importance on the arts and developing social skills to encourage our children to be the valuable citizens of the future. We have a new and lively creative curriculum, which is based on topics which are truly meaningful and motivating to our children, and have made learning even more fun.
Our ECO work is a valuable part of this, and we are thrilled to have been awarded our Green Flag - the highest level of achievement for an eco school. When Ofsted last inspected our school they recognised Hertford as a rapidly improving school - we have done much since their visit and encourage you to come along and see for yourself just how good our school is!
