KEYSTAGE ONE CURRICULUM CYCLE
Children in Keystage One at Hertford Infant and Nursery School follow a carefully devised two year cycle of cross curricular topic work. This curriculum cycle ensures your child covers all the aspects of learning required by the National Curriculum in a fun and meaningful way during their two years in KS1. At the beginning of each term you will be given a topic 'learning journey' which outlines in more detail the precise way the teachers teach each curriculum area through each individual topic. This will also be available here on the website and on the Information Boards (outside each Classroom). Please see the links below the curriculum grid.
The Curriculum areas covered are:- Literacy (reading, writing, speaking and listening), Numeracy (number, shape, measure, data handling), Science, ICT, History, Geography, RE, Art, Design Technology, Personal Social Health Education, PE (Gymnastics, Games, Dance), Music
