This term the Year 1's  topic will be "THE SEASIDE". The term will be divided into 3 main seaside themes!

The first couple of weeks will focus on pirates when the children will have great fun writing pirate stories and making treasure island maps.

During the second section the children will learn about present day beach life and in particular what there is to do in Brighton.

The third theme will be an historical look at seaside activities of the past and compare them with now.

The children will be going on a couple of trips - one to do some beach combing and one to Brighton Muesum to look at the seaside exhibition there. They will also make drawings of the Pavillion.
